Jordan has put her interest in education and children into concrete practice through the TERRA SANCTA EDUCATION TRUST, registered charity n. 1122180, which she established in 2006. The Terra Sancta Education Trust bases its work supporting the Christian children of the Middle East on a philosophy of respect and dialogue between people of the monotheistic faith traditions. Five years of dedicated commitment to these children were recognised when Jordan was named Britain’s “Catholic Woman of the Year” in 2010.

The trust works throughout the Holy Land, in particular supporting orphanages run by the Religious Family of the Incarnate Word, an Argentinean missionary order which provides education and family support to extremely vulnerable children, some of whom are severely handicapped, as well as those who have been abandoned due to dire family circumstances. Dr. Lancaster recently visited the orphanage in Anjara, Jordan with a group of benefactors.
